Joy Konieczka is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, teaches group fitness classes (such as cycle, barre, pilates, strength, mobility, low impact cardio), leads meditation & wellness workshops focusing on the 7 dimensions of wellness (see below), and helps women in their 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, and beyond live their best lives. As we all go through these difficult times, Joy is shifting some of her business online since the gyms aren’t feasible in some areas due to COVID-19.

First up, Zoom Classes for Women!

Tuesdays Pilates Zoom 9am Pacific Time Zone, Wednesdays Core & More Zoom 10am, & Thursdays Barre Zoom at 9am. Each class is 30 minutes. Come on 10 minutes early to connect, and talk fitness, wellness, & joy, and stay 5 minutes for mobility and breathwork. Classes are $10 (+tax). Sorry, USA residents only. Remember, having joy is about creating balance in your life and nurturing your soul. It is a feeling and a state of mind.

When creating balance in your life, there are 7 areas of wellness you should focus on weekly: physical (your body), occupational (things that occupy your time), spiritual (your core values & beliefs), intellectual (your brain), emotional (your feelings), social (your relationships), and environmental (your surroundings). Seems hard to remember? Use the acronym POSIES + E.

As a joy advocate, I try to look at the big picture and give you new ideas to increase your joy, happiness, and overall well-being.

I am a firefighter wife, have an 12 year old son, and live in Sammamish, WA. My hobbies include hiking, running, yoga, spending time in nature, reading, reality tv (Survivor is still my favorite), crafting, DIYing, and spending time with friends and family.
